Privacy Policy — Dealoot

This document applies to the Dealoot mobile app (Android and iOS).

Last updated: April 2026

1. Scope and Controller

This policy describes data processing rules for the Dealoot app. It covers app features and data that may be shared with external service providers used by the app.

2. How the App Works

Dealoot aggregates game discounts and giveaways. Offer data is fetched from public APIs, including:

  • CheapShark (deals and prices),
  • GamerPower (free giveaways),
  • IsThereAnyDeal (ITAD) (lowest-price and pricing history data),
  • Steam (metadata and artwork used in selected views).

The app is not a store and does not process payments; purchase links redirect to external services.

3. Data Processed by the App

During normal app usage:

  • no user account is required,
  • the app stores watchlist and alert settings locally to persist between sessions,
  • the app sends network requests to external APIs to fetch current offers.

Dealoot does not require your name, phone number, or similar identity details for core features.

4. Data Processed by Third-Party Providers

When using external APIs, providers may receive technical request data (for example IP address, request parameters, and timestamps), under their own privacy policies and terms of service.

You should review the privacy policies of those providers as well.

5. Purpose of Processing

Data is processed only as needed to:

  • deliver app features (offers, search, alerts),
  • maintain app security and reliability,
  • diagnose technical issues.

If error reporting or technical analytics are enabled, data may be processed based on legitimate interest in maintaining app quality and security.

6. Data Retention

  • Watchlist data and preferences are stored locally on your device.
  • Retention periods for technical data handled by external services depend on their policies.

7. Data Sharing

Data is not sold. It may be shared only with processors required to provide app functionality (API providers and technical infrastructure) to the extent necessary for service delivery.

8. User Rights

Depending on applicable law, users may have rights to:

  • access data,
  • rectify data,
  • erase data,
  • restrict processing,
  • object to processing,
  • lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.

9. Contact

For privacy matters related to Dealoot, use the contact channel listed with the app in Google Play or the App Store and include: "Privacy — Dealoot".

10. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated as app features evolve, legal requirements change, or service providers are updated. The current version is published under a stable URL on the mkdev developer website.
