Privacy Policy — Dealoot

This document applies to the Dealoot mobile app (Android and iOS).

Privacy Policy — Dealoot

Last updated: May 2026

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how the Dealoot mobile app ("Dealoot", "we", "us") processes data.

Controller contact for privacy matters: mkdev.appslab@gmail.com

2. What Dealoot Does

Dealoot helps users discover PC game discounts, giveaways, and price drops.
Dealoot is not a game store and does not process payments. Purchase/claim actions open external websites.

3. Data We Process

3.1 Data stored locally on your device

Dealoot stores the following app data locally (via secure local storage) to make features work:

  • wishlist and price alerts,
  • selected region/country for local prices,
  • ranking/search preferences (for example: recent searches, filters),
  • analytics consent choice,
  • anonymous analytics device identifier (only if analytics is enabled and consent is granted).

We do not require account registration for core features.

3.2 Technical data sent to third parties

When the app fetches content from external providers, those providers may receive technical request data (such as IP address, user agent, request parameters, and timestamps) under their own policies.

4. Third-Party Services Used by the App

Dealoot may communicate with the following services:

  • CheapShark (deals, prices, stores),
  • GamerPower (giveaways),
  • Steam (metadata, screenshots, reviews, prices),
  • IsThereAnyDeal (ITAD) (lowest prices and price history; used when configured in this build),
  • Sentry (crash/error monitoring; used when configured in this build),
  • PostHog (product analytics; used only when configured and only after consent is granted).

5. Analytics and Consent

  • Product analytics is optional.
  • Dealoot asks for consent before sending analytics events.
  • If consent is denied (or not granted), analytics events are not sent.
  • Consent can be changed anytime in Settings -> Privacy & Analytics.

Analytics events are pseudonymous and use a randomly generated app identifier stored on device. We do not intentionally collect direct identifiers such as your name, phone number, or email via in-app analytics events.

6. Crash and Reliability Monitoring

If Sentry is enabled in a build, crash/error diagnostics may be sent to help maintain app stability and security.
This can include technical data such as error stack traces, app version, OS/device metadata, and event breadcrumbs.

7. External Links

Dealoot may open external links (store pages, giveaway claim pages, privacy links).
After leaving Dealoot, the destination website/app governs its own data practices.

8. Purposes and Legal Bases

We process data to:

  • provide core app functionality (deals, giveaways, search, alerts),
  • maintain reliability and security (diagnostics/crash monitoring),
  • improve product quality (analytics, where consent is granted).

Depending on your jurisdiction, legal bases may include:

  • performance of a service (core functionality),
  • legitimate interest (security/reliability),
  • consent (optional analytics).

9. Data Retention

  • Local app data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
  • Third-party retention periods are governed by each provider's policy.

10. Data Sharing and Sales

We do not sell personal data.
Data is shared only with service providers needed to operate the app features described above.

11. International Transfers

Some service providers may process data outside your country/region (including outside the EEA, where applicable).
Such processing is governed by those providers' contractual and legal safeguards.

12. Your Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • access data,
  • correct data,
  • delete data,
  • restrict or object to processing,
  • withdraw consent (for analytics),
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise rights related to Dealoot-controlled processing, contact us at: mkdev.appslab@gmail.com.

13. Children's Privacy

Dealoot is not directed to children under the age threshold defined by applicable local law, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect app changes, legal requirements, or provider changes.
The latest version is published at a stable URL linked from the app.
