MK Shots is a photography portfolio built around the photos themselves — not just a pretty gallery, but a system for uploading, organizing, and inspecting every frame.

Product

  • Immersive home hero and a dark, distraction-free reading of the work.
  • Gallery with category filters (architecture, street, portrait, macro, …) and flexible sorting (date, recently added, rating).
  • Per-photo pages with automatic EXIF readout: camera, lens, focal length, aperture, shutter, ISO.
  • Stats dashboard — totals, categories, activity timeline, and camera filters.
  • Light/dark theme and language toggle for a polished visitor experience.

Engineering

  • Next.js 16 App Router for the public site.
  • Prisma + Postgres for photos, categories, ratings, and comments.
  • Cloudinary for media delivery; exifr extracts metadata on upload.
  • NextAuth-backed admin flow for managing the archive.

A full-stack portfolio product: CMS-like admin + public gallery + photography-aware metadata and analytics.
